23 Weeks

How far along? 23 Weeks
Vegetable equivalent (according to What to Expect iPhone app): Ear of Corn
Total weight gain/loss:  7 lbs, so up .5 from last week. I did watch what I ate this week a little more, filling up on healthy salads, nuts and fruit. I found I had more energy and felt better this week too! I got in one nice, long run (well, long for pregnancy) at 4 miles and it wasn't as uncomfortable as the week before. I really wish I could run more, but between work, my MBA class, and getting ready for baby one day a week is the best I have been able to do. I'm determined to get in two workouts this week!

Maternity clothes?: I caved in and went to Destination Maternity at the mall. In this picture I'm wearing this dress. While I'm pleased with my purchases and no longer feel confined to rotating a few pieces, that place is expensive. I got some good work dresses and long tunics, and I hope that's my last maternity clothes shopping experience.
Stretch marks? Still no, in fact my skin is softer than ever thanks to the Cocoa butter.
Sleep: For the most part I'm sleeping well, but I've been suffering from some excruciating back pain lately. I'm trying stretching and asking Clint to help with some trouble spots, but I may cave in and use an old Massage Envy gift card here pretty soon.
Best moment this week: Thursday we had an all-leadership meeting that was so inspiring! Everyday I'm thankful for my career and that opportunity I have to work with the people I do. Not only that, but Clint was promoted to a vice president position, which was truly deserved. I was proud of him before, but I was exceptionally proud of him that day as the announcement was made. Our son is going to have an incredible man to look up to as his dad :)
Miss Anything? Smoked salmon on my bagel.
Movement: Oh yeah, this guy is a mover and a shaker. I would say same intensity and frequency as last week.
Food cravings: White grape juice, pudding, cucumbers, sweet potatoes.  (Here's a pic of one of my salad concoctions with sweet potatoes and low sodium provolone cheese).

Anything making you queasy or sick: I had a few instances of nausea this week (but no sickness). Not sure what that was about.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Still in :)
Wedding rings on or off? On - and today is our wedding anniversary :) More on our celebration in my upcoming 24 week post.
Happy or Moody most of the time: This week very happy. God has been so good to us, and I give him all the Glory!
Weekly Wisdom: My hairstylist Lynn gave me some great advice this week. She has such a fun, light way of listening and gently giving advice. I can't imagine all that she hears every week!
Looking forward to: I am slightly overwhelmed by all that's ahead in the next couple of months, all exciting stuff. First, our wedding anniversary celebration this week at Bern's! Then, Tyler and Lori (Clint's friends from college visiting). Then, I head home to Ohio for a quick visit with the family, quickly followed by Clint's family and my family visiting our home.
