As my sisters told me, "you popped!" And boy do I feel it! It's so amazing this little boy keeps growing, I am getting more and more excited to see his cute face! I can't help but wonder what he looks like, who he will take after, is he calm and methodical like Clint or very Type A and on-the-go like me? Now that we're in the 6th month (yes, I can't believe it either!) we'll find out sooner than later! (and check out this interesting weeks/months pregnancy converter I found on Pinterest:
This week we did our baby registry at Babies R Us, which was extremely overwhelming. I never knew there were so many options for things like bottles. I rely a lot on online reviews, so hopefully we made the right choice for our little man. We also did some serious negotiating for our crib and dresser, and between that and several coupons, we ended up saving about $400! That's $400 more toward his 529 plan very soon :)
As for how I feel this week, I feel pregnant! When I attempt to get out of bed it's very visible it's not easy to roll out of bed anymore. And when I went for a run this weekend, I found it was just plain hard. I wasn't out of breath or sore, but the actual shape of my stomach makes the mechanics of running challenging. That said, I felt great after my run and hope to work in another one this week. Clint and I did a long walk last night with Cooper which always cracks me up because our sweet doggie is absolutely not a good walker. Toward the end we always need to consider picking him up.
That said, here's the latest (and I'm late on this post!) I'm excited I completed my first MBA class, so Sunday I was wrapping up that final. That said, I hope to get back to my regular Sunday posting days!
How far along? 22 Weeks
Total weight gain/loss: 6.5 lbs (So another 1.5 lbs this week alone)! I gotta be honest, I know it's what the baby needs to grow, but weight gain is just plain strange. No matter what I'm eating it doesn't seem to matter. When I wasn't gaining weight, I was eating desserts, pizza, etc., all within moderation of course. But the past few weeks where I've been gaining more than a pound per week, I've been sticking to healthy salads, fruits and low-fat frozen yogurt.
Maternity clothes?: I'm mixing up maternity and regular clothes for now still. I did order a new Seraphine dress this week to add to my work wardrobe since I'm able to wear less and less of my normal work dresses.
Stretch marks? No
Sleep: Sleeping great thanks to my Snoogle. I found the right sleeping configuration that makes it super comfy. Saturday I took a very long nap too, so my body was asking for sleep this week!
Best moment this week: Had a great time with Rachel and Nicole at Pane Rustica, girls nights are always a blast!
Miss Anything? Feeling energetic and being able to run longer distances. That was apparent this week! Also not having to track caffeine throughout the day. While I do indulge in my morning coffee, I don't let myself grab a coffee or soda mid-afternoon so I can feel that slump happening.
Movement: Every single day, it's awesome. His movements are getting stronger!
Food cravings: Lemonade, frozen yogurt, rice
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, it's wonderful!
Have you started to show yet: Absolutely. I'm removing this question now :)
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? In, but it keeps getting flatter and flatter.
Wedding rings on or off? On for the most part but some mornings they are feeling a little tight.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Very happy! Sometimes I look down and just think how miraculous it is I'm carrying my future son!
Weekly Wisdom: Listen to your body.
Looking forward to: Friends and family coming to visit the end of this month and next, and getting the nursery all set up!
